In 2022, Prince Andrew was stripped of all his military titles and royal patronages and was removed from all his royal duties after Virginia Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit against him, accusing him of sexually abusing her three times in 2001 when she was 17 and was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. There were photos of Prince Andrew with Giuffre but Andrew claimed that he had no memory of meeting the accuser. Though Amdrew never admitted to the allegations, he made an out-of court settlement and has been living in silos since then.
By that time, Epstein died in his prison cell of suicide, though conspiracy theories claimed he was murdered.

Three years later, the US administration announced that they were closing the investigation into Epstein, his infamous island where celebrities used to visit, as there was nothing more to be revealed in the case. Epstein did not have any client list with which he was blackmailing his so-called clients, the Trump administration said adding that their investigation found that Epstein did commit suicide and there was no foul play in his death.
MAGA supporters were furious and they openly said that they don't believe in the abrupt wrapping up of the case that has been running for decades.
They also noted how Prince Andrew made a fool of himself by being the only celebrity who had to pay for his alleged involvement with Epstein, while others who visited Epstein's islands and took part in the sexual assault of minors will never be named.
Epstein was arrested in 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking involving minors between 2002 and 2005 based out of his island, officially known as Little Saint James. IEpstein purchased it in 1998 and transformed it into a heavily guarded compound. Survivors said underage girls were brought to the island and were sexually abused by Epstein and his associates. Many high-profile guests visited his island but there's now no evidence of wrongdoing.
