Chhath Puja concluded this morning with ' Usha Arghya ' across India. As vibrant scenes from ghats nationwide marked the end of the four-day festival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to all families, lauding their participation in the festival's vibrant, community-led celebrations.
"Today, the auspicious conclusion of the great festival of Chhath took place with the morning arghya offered to Lord Sun God . During this four-day ritual, we witnessed the divine glimpse of our grand tradition of Chhath Puja," the PM wrote in a post on X.
He further congratulated families for participating in the celebration and extended his wishes to the fasting devotees for completing one of the most rigorous fasts. "Heartfelt congratulations to all our family members who became part of this sacred festival, along with all the fasting devotees and devotees! May the boundless grace of Chhathi Maiya keep all your lives forever illuminated," wrote the PM.
A day before the festivities began, the Prime Minister urged citizens to share Chhath Puja songs as part of the celebrations, pledging to amplify them during the festival. He followed through on the third day, sharing a track and extending greetings to devotees observing the rituals.
"Heartfelt Chhath Puja evening arghya wishes to all my family members across the country. On this sacred occasion, our tradition of offering arghya to the setting sun is very unique. May there be welfare for all by the grace of Lord Surya, may everyone attain happiness, prosperity, and success in life. This is the wish. Jai Chhathi Maiya," wrote PM Modi.
With heartfelt community participation and devotional sharing online, this year’s Chhath closed on a luminous, inclusive note reflective of its enduring cultural resonance.
