Devotees of The Celebrity Traitors are up in arms about the programme airing just twice weekly.
The star-studded variant of the beloved BBC game show has been a phenomenal success thus far, yet supporters of the programme have undoubtedly noticed a scheduling alteration.
The yearly civilian edition, which typically commences broadcasting in January, showcases three episodes weekly that transmit on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 9pm.
Nevertheless, the celebrity edition features only two episodes per week, forgoing that prized Friday night BBC time slot.
There are also a total of nine episodes of The Celebrity Traitors, compared to the usual 12 episodes, reports the Daily Star.
Rather than a third weekly episode, Alan Partridge's new show How Are You? It's Alan (Partidge) will be airing, as well as other comedy shows.
Supporters on X have been fuming over the new schedule: "Two episodes a week is criminal, seriously," wrote one person as another joined in: "Why is the celebrity version following a different schedule? It seemed like they were stretching the action out across more episodes as well?"
"That's the only thing that spoils it for me is only two episodes a week, I want it boom, boom boom," typed one viewer.
Another added: "Booooo, should be on three times week, two is not enough."
The Celebrity Traitors returns next Wednesday at 9pm, followed with another episode on Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer.
When is The Celebrity Traitors final? The Celebrity Traitors final will air on Thursday 6 November at 9pm.
An announcement on social media read: "By order of The Traitors do not miss The Celebrity Traitors Finale from 6th Nov at 9pm.
"Famous... and faithful? An all-star cast are ready to play the ultimate game of deceit and betrayal. The fingerless gloves are ON - let the mind games begin!"
