Meghan Markle marked her 44th birthday on Tuesday with a gushing post via her As Ever Official Instagram account - but one observer quickly questioned why she had opted to limit comments. Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said the move "says a lot," suggesting Meghan expected negative reactions. She told Talk's Kevin Sullivan: "She knows that there are going to be a lot of people in the comments section that are like, 'What? Why are you wishing yourself a happy birthday? Get out of here.'"
The birthday message was presented as coming from "the team," despite no evidence that such a team exists, Ms Scholfield suggested. Critics have argued the post was essentially Meghan sending a public birthday greeting to herself through an account widely believed to be run solely by her.
