It has been claimed that Mo Gilligan has a "love child" after a brief romance with a model. According to The Sun, the popular comedian and ITV star allegedly had a son with model Selina Christoforou in January 2024. The Masked Singer star split up with his girlfriend of four years, Sophie Wise, at the end of 2022. Since then he has moved on with a new girlfriend, Taia Tulher, and she is expecting to give birth to their first child soon. The couple has reportedly been dating for two years and live together in London.
A source told The Sun: "Mo met Selina after messaging her on social media and they hung out casually for a few months. She found out she was pregnant in May 2023 and it was quite a shock for them both because they'd been fairly careful.
"But she wanted to have the baby, despite the fact that they weren't actually a couple. She adores their son, and Mo sees him semi-regularly.
"Now he's about to become a dad for a second time, and he's over the moon. He has been with Taia for quite a long time now and he feels ready to settle down."
Express Online has contacted Mo's representatives and Selina for comment. Selina publicly shared a post detailing the drama to her Instagram story, as well as sharing a snap of her new baby.
Selina has also spoken out about Mo's involvement, according to The Mirror. In a TikTok post, she slammed the presenter and fumed: "I just finally posted on Instagram about my son's dad, so for your information, if you don't follow my Instagram, I don't blame you. Um, Mo Gilligan is his 'dad'. Very much in quotation marks."
She went on to claim that Mo has rarely seen their child and said she understands you "can't make someone be a dad". Selina also insists that she kept thinking things will get better for her "unbelievable" son.
In 2020, Mo joined the judging panel of The Masked Singer alongside Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, and Davina McCall. He is also a regular figure on Celebrity Gogglebox.
Mo also hosted his very own The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan on Channel 4 from 2019 until 2023, and was a co-presenter on The Big Narstie Show.
He recently completed a huge stand-up tour and hosted the BRIT Awards in 2022 and 2023.
