Home cooks who are thinking of investing in an air fryer could consider a model currently 67% off on Amazon. Typically retailing for £120, the Morphy Richards 4L digital air fryer has been slashed to £39.99 on both the brand's own site and on Amazon.
The handy appliance comes with eight presets for effortless cooking, including heat, bake, dehydrate and defrost functions. It can cook things directly from frozen, and operates within a temperature range of 60-220°C.
The air fryer has a convenient digital touch screen display and a window with a light that allows users to check their food. It also promises to heat up "in seconds", has a non-stick coating and dishwasher-friendly parts. At four litres, it's not the biggest out there but is ideal for two people or smaller families.
It has had many glowing reviews: "We've been using this regularly for two months. I worried it would gather dust and never be used but it's so easy to use and clean that it is now our go to for chicken breasts, nuggets and chips," one shopper wrote on Amazon. "They all come out crispy, much better than in an oven."
Another shopper, who gave it a five-star review, said they "can cook a complete meal in one go...best thing I've bought in a while".
A third review praised the air fryer's versatility: "As well as the obligatory chips, I have roasted vegetables, onion rings and even a full English!"
However, a couple of shoppers found the appliance somewhat bulky, with one joking that "it's not far off the proportions of a Henry vacuum cleaner" and another warning that "you do need to be prepared for the sheer size of this and hopefully have space to hide it away in the kitchen".
As air fryers tend to not be very compact appliances, shoppers should always check the measurements before purchasing to make sure they have enough space on the counter.
