Alexander Isak has set his sights on winning trophies after his £125million Liverpool transfer was confirmed. The summer's biggest saga finally came to an end two-and-a-half hours after the deadline closed at 7pm, but the Reds finally got their man after prolonged negotiations with Newcastle.
Liverpool have taken their spending beyond £450m, adding Isak to the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong. The Premier League champions will be expected to compete for Champions League glory as a result this season, but their newest addition is relishing that challenge.
He said: "I want to win everything. Yeah, [as simple as that]."
After going on strike to force a move to Anfield, Isak was clearly over the moon and could get his first taste of football as a Liverpool player in their next match against Burnley before a Merseyside derby with Everton beckons this month.
"I feel amazing," Isak added. "It's been a long journey to get here. But I'm super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It's something I'm proud of and I'm really looking forward to it.
"I'm just happy it's done and that I can get back to work. I'm looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there."

There have been concerns over how Isak will fit in alongside fellow new signing Hugo Ekitike, who has made a bright start to life in England following his move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
But Liverpool's new number nine, Isak, backs himself to work with the current crop of forwards. He said: "I think I have a lot to give, I think I have a lot to improve. I'm a striker but I always want to give as much as possible to the team, mainly goals but much more than that as well."
Newcastle were forced to compromise on their £150m fee demand from earlier in the window and made their disdain very clear in a parting message to the Sweden international.
Their ice-cold 37-word statement read: "Newcastle United can announce the sale of striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a significant British record transfer fee. The Sweden international joined the Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 and made 109 appearances in all competitions."
Newcastle brought in Nick Woltemade in a club-record signing last week before agreeing a £55m deal for wantaway Brentford striker Yoane Wissa on deadline day.
