Ever since becoming parents, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been cherishing every moment with their daughter, Dua. Deepika’s priorities have shifted completely after motherhood, and though she has several projects lined up, she hasn’t yet resumed shooting, choosing instead to spend quality time with her baby girl.
On 8 September 2025, Dua turned one, and Deepika made the occasion extra special by baking a chocolate cake with her own hands. Sharing a picture of the cake on social media, the actress wrote, “My love language? Baked a cake for daughter’s first birthday.” Fans showered the post with love and warm wishes for little Dua.
The Story Behind Dua’s Name
Earlier, Deepika revealed that it took nearly two months after her daughter’s birth to decide on the name. The couple chose Dua, which means “prayer”, as it beautifully reflects the emotions and blessings they associate with her.
Privacy Around Dua
While fans are eager to see Deepika and Ranveer’s daughter, the couple has made it clear that they want to keep Dua away from the limelight and allow her to enjoy a peaceful childhood. Recently, when a video surfaced online showing Deepika holding her baby girl, the couple expressed displeasure over the leak. Many fans supported their stand on maintaining privacy.
Deepika’s sweet gesture of baking a cake shows that while she may be one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, at home she’s simply a doting mom making memories with her little one.
