Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Launched: Powerful Battery, AI Features and Long-Term Updates in Mid-Range Segment

Samsung has expanded its A-series lineup with the launch of the Galaxy A17 5G, a feature-packed smartphone designed for the mid-range market. The device comes with a 5000mAh battery, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, an Exynos processor, and advanced features such as Google Pixel’s AI assistant and Circle to Search. Samsung has also promised up to six years of OS updates, making it a strong long-term choice for buyers.

In terms of pricing, the Galaxy A17 5G is available in three variants: the 6GB/128GB model is priced at Rs 18,999, the 8GB/128GB variant costs Rs 20,499, and the 8GB/256GB option is priced at Rs 23,499. The phone can be purchased from Samsung’s official website as well as e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. Customers paying via SBI or HDFC Bank credit cards (on EMI) through Samsung’s site will also get a flat Rs 1,000 discount. Positioned in this segment, the Galaxy A17 5G will compete directly with rivals such as the Realme P4 5G, Vivo T4R 5G, and Motorola Edge 60 Fusion 5G.

The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity U Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It runs on the Exynos 1330 octa-core processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For photography, the phone features a 50MP primary rear camera, supported by a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor, while the front houses a 13MP selfie camera. Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support.
