M&S revealed that the Checked Collared Zip Up Cardigan was 'in demand', with over 100 sold online in just five days. Priced at £40, the cardigan is available in sizes XS to XL, with customers saying it 'fits true to size'.
Comparable options include the Weekday Wool Blend Hairy Knit Zip Through Cardigan from ASOS priced at £49. White Stuff also offers the Betty Bomber in French Navy, currently discounted to £60 from £75, reports Chronicle Live.
One customer named Pippa gave the M&S Checked Collared Zip Up Cardigan a five-star rating, writing: "Love this zip up cardigan, it is soft and cosy, perfect for the colder weather. It looks great with the chocolate wide leg jersey trousers."
Another customer described the cardigan as "warm and comfy", adding: "I love the styling of this zip up cardi. I like the fact you can split the zip. Only downside is it can bobble a bit. Thankfully last winter I invested in a de-fuzzer to remove bobbling off worn clothes."
Another review of the Checked Collared Zip Up Cardigan read: "I just love this knitted cardigan/jacket. I wish it came in other colours, so stylish. Have worn and washed it already. Still looks like new."
Some found the fit a little off, with one saying: "What a disappointment really long sleeves and to short in the body."
Whilst another said: "Very satisfied with quality and fit. Could have been a tad longer but that’s personal taste. Good value."
Others, however, loved the cardigan, writing: "A easy throw on, soft and cosy zip up cardigan, highly recommend."
