Love Island star's surprise collaboration with Rihanna after impressing Fenty boss

A Love Island star has been hired by Rihanna for a huge role for her Savage x Fenty brand. The islander met with the pop superstar last year and has now linked up professionally.

Season 10 contestant from the hit ITV2 dating series Ella Thomas was tasked with posing and hosting the Fenty Beauty Cafe in Covent Garden on Thursday. And it came about after Ella bagged the gig for the fashion giant.

A spokesperson said: "Ella met Rihanna last year and really impressed her and her team. She was hand picked to host the Fenty Beauty Cafe in Covent Garden today."

Speaking to the Sun, the source went on: "She's really starting to make a name of herself in the presenting world and it's obviously a really big deal to work with such a well known beauty brand."

And Ella was keen to share her breakthrough on social media. Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star shared a number of snaps from the occasion.

She captioned the upload: "You’re looking at your @fentybeauty host!! From loving the brand since day one to hosting with them. Very grateful.. make sure you visit the Fenty beauty cafe pop up!"

The comment and photos were met with an outpour of joy from her friends and followers. Among those sharing gushing responses was content creator Uche Natori, who simply wrote: "Amazing!!"

Fellow Love Islander Uma Jammeh also said: "YESSSS QUEEN," alongside a number of red love heart emojis. And Survival of the Fittest star Mariam Musa penned: "Yaaasss," with an emoji with love heart eyes.

The first image in Ella's reel showed the reality TV star wearing a brown and white plaid two-piece shirt and skirt set from Fenty. She complimented the look with a pair of brown boots and accessorised with gold hoops and a watch.

She stood beside the Fenty Beauty pop up van for the snap. Other images showed her posing from inside the van, with one snap also showing her standing under an umbrella.

While Rihanna's fashion brand continues to grow,fans were left gutted recentlyafter expecting she was about to release new music. Last month, the pregnant star marked a major milestone in her career by celebrating 20 years since the release of her debut album Music Of The Sun.

However, a number of her followers were left frustrated after scrolling through her lengthy post about going from living a simple life in Barbados to international stardom. For some, they had been expecting news of a new release, but that never came.

Instead, the 37-year-old beauty mogul took simply thanked supporters for standing by her since 2005, when she left her home in Barbados to pursue her dream of being a singer.
