Dwayne Johnson has received a new nickname from his fans after showing off his slimmed-down figure.
The wrestler-turned-actor, 54, is known across the world as The Rock, which was initially a moniker he acquired during his WWE days, but after showing off dramatic weight loss, some social media users were quick to point out that he is due a new name in light of his change in appearance.
One fan wrote: "Gonna have to start calling him Dwayne the pebble Johnson," and another echoed the same joke as they said: "Gonna have to start calling him Dwayne the pebble Johnson.”

The Moana star plays MMA fighter and UFC pioneer Mark Kerr inn the new biopic The Smashing Machine, and is thought to have lost around 60lbs in total. He is normally thought to weigh around 300lbs, meaning that his new weight currently sits somewhere around 240lbs. At the premiere of the film, The Rock posed alongside Kerr and opted for a slim grey suit.
At one point, The Rock cosied up to co-star Emily Blunt, who plays his love interest in the movie, and the Devil Wears Prada actress wowed with her 0long glittering number. Fans around the world were full of praise for his big change in looks, and some even questioned whether his usual frame was sustainable in the long run.
One fan wrote: "The Rock is close to 60. Maintenance on that size wasn’t [physically] possible. Dave Battista did the same. Shout out them. For living healthier life styles," whilst another said: "The Rock looks good slim down idk why ppl are bugging you can tell some ppl look sick when lose weight too fast he looks fine to me he just an older man."
Another fan said: "Nothing makes you feel all 40 years of life like seeing big-chested wrestlers like Bautista and The Rock finally stop maintaining perfect bodies and choose slim, healthy ones. We're not meant to look like bodybuilders; it's not real life."
Referencing the figure he had during his days in the ring, one fan pointed out: "Honestly he looks good slimmer. People forget The Rock was much slimmer in WWE. Hoping he's healthy always but it would be nice to see him slim down a bit."
The Hollywood star previously reflected on being able to watch him transform in front of the mirror, as he explained to Vanity Fair: "I just sat in front of that mirror for three to four hours and watched it all change. There were about 13 or 14 different prosthetics. Subtle, yet I think very impactful.
"By the time I got to set, I was Mark Kerr and I felt it, from how he walked to how he talked and how he looked at life."

When production images first surfaced last year, fans of the film star were shocked as they flooded social media with comments about just how 'unrecognizable' he looked on set.
Writing on Twitter/X, one fan wrote: "Dwayne looks totally different." Another shared: "That’s The Rock? Holy s**t looks unrecognizable". A third added: "I actually had to zoom in to make sure that was him because wow… literally unrecognizable!" "Didn't even recognize him!" said a fourth. Another posted: "He looks so different."
Other pictures from the movie were then released as promotional shots, with Blunt starring as Kerr's then partner Dawn Staples. In one picture, Dwayne is sat in the corner of a boxing ring completely shirtless and it in a pair of red shorts. Outside of the ring to his side stood Emily, who wore a low-cut white tank top as she looked up at her partner.
The film shows show Kerr's rise to fame, as well as his fall from grace due to an opioid addiction. A HBO documentary about Mark's life was released in 2002, but this is the movie about his life which also blends fiction alongside the true story.
