Amazon MX Player, Amazon’s free video streaming service, transports viewers to a world that’s a gritty gangster drama and a dark comedy in equal measure with its latest series, Bindiya Ke Bahubali. Set in the heartland town of Bindiya, run by the Davan family, the show follows the chaos that erupts when Bada Davan is imprisoned just before an election, leaving his son, Chhote Davan, to fend off enemies both within and outside the family. It’s a high-stakes mix of power struggles, betrayals, and darkly comic mishaps, all served with a generous helping of heartland flavour. Bindiya Ke Bahubali is brought to life by a powerhouse ensemble cast, including Saurabh Shukla, Ranvir Shorey, Seema Biswas, Sushant Singh, Sheeba Chaddha, Sai Tamhankar, Tanishtha Chatterjee, Vineet Kumar, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Aakash Dahiya in key roles.
Saurabh Shukla, who essays the role of Bada Davan in the series, describes it as a world brimming with complex, layered characters. Sharing insights about his character, he shares, “Bada Davan is a loving father — he cares deeply for his family — but he’s also the ruthless king of a world built on power and crime. He has his own moral code, but it’s the morality of a man who thrives in an unethical world. That contrast, those many shades, make him so fascinating to play.”
For Shukla, the heart of the series lies in its pace and emotional core. “I think what the audience will enjoy the most is the ride Bindiya Ke Bahubali takes them on. It’s fast-paced, exciting, and full of twists and turns. But underneath the humour and action, it’s a human drama about relationships, betrayal, love, kindness, and hatred. These are emotions that everyone can relate to, no matter the setting. That’s why I think it will hit home with audiences,” he adds.
Bindiya Ke Bahubali is now streaming exclusively on Amazon MX Player, available through the MX Player app on mobile and Connected TVs, on the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xtreme.
