Tesla Launching in India: Tesla's electric SUV will be available in three major cities like Delhi, Gurugram, and Mumbai. The company will start its delivery from the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2025).

Tesla has released the prices of its first electric SUV Model Y in India, which is a big part of Tesla's official launch in India. The on-road starting price of Tesla's Model Y RWD has been kept at Rs 61.07 lakh. Talking about the price of its long range RWD variant, it is Rs 69.15 lakh. This electric SUV will be available in three major cities like Delhi, Gurugram and Mumbai. The company will start its delivery from the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2025).
Why is the price so high in India? In America, this car is available for 44 thousand 990 dollars (about 38 lakh rupees), then why is its price so high in India? The first reason behind this is import duty. In India, a complete foreign-made car (CBU- Completely Built Unit) is taxed up to 70 percent. More than 21 lakh tax has to be paid on a single car. The second reason is the logistics cost, which is brought to Mumbai from the Shanghai plant in China. Apart from this, there is also a huge cost in transport and customs.
- Tesla Model Y will be offered in two variants (Standard RWD and Long Range RWD. Standard). The variant will be given a 60kWh LFP battery, which will give a driving range of about 500 kilometers and this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about 5.6 seconds.
- On the other hand, the Long Range RWD variant will have a 75kWh NMC battery, which has a range of up to 622 kilometres and this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 5 seconds.
- Tesla Model Y will be launched in India with many advanced technological features. It can be provided with over-the-air software updates, separate touchscreen for rear seat, electric adjustable rear seats.
- Also, Tesla's premium sound system and real-time control facility will be provided through Tesla app. All these features keep this model one step ahead in terms of technology.
