Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Intermittent rains have disturbed the daily lives of Madhya Pradesh citizens. Many districts like Shivpuri, Panna and Sheopur are already witnessing flood-like situations.
On Sunday, districts like Mandla, Sheopur, and Dindori saw a rise in water levels, and low-lying areas near the Narmada River were marked as dangerous. People living in these areas have been advised to move to safer places.

July 7: An orange alert (very heavy rainfall) has been issued for Jabalpur, Dindori, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, and Betul. Seoni and Balaghat may receive over 8 inches of rain in 24 hours.
A yellow alert (heavy rain) is in place for Morena, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Sehore, Sagar, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, and Anuppur.
Rain is expected in most other districts as well.

What do meteorologists say?
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert (very heavy rainfall) for Seoni and Balaghat, where over 8 inches of rain is expected in 24 hours.
Senior meteorologists said that strong monsoon systems are active in the state. Most parts of Madhya Pradesh, especially the eastern region, will experience heavy rainfall till July 10.

July 8: A red alert (extremely heavy rain) has been issued for Chhindwara and Pandhurna. An orange alert is issued for Vidisha, Sagar, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat.
Heavy rain is also expected in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, Rajgarh, Dewas, Guna, Sehore, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Chhatarpur, Panna, Damoh, Jabalpur, Katni, Rewa, Sidhi, Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori, and Anuppur.
July 9: An orange alert for very heavy rain has been issued for Indore, Dewas, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna.
Heavy rain warning is also in place for Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Ujjain, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Sehore, Bhopal, Raisen, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Vidisha, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Morena, Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Seoni, Dindori, Anuppur, Katni, and Umaria.
