Chhath Puja Samagri List: Chhath Puja is not just a festival, but a symbol of faith, devotion, and self-control. It is celebrated six days after Diwali and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion, primarily in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal. This year, Chhath Mahaparva will begin on October 25th and end on October 28th, 2025.
During this four-day festival, women observe a 36-hour fast, observing strict rules and praying for the happiness and prosperity of their families and the long life of their children by offering prayers to the Sun God. If you are observing the Chhath fast for the first time, it is important to know that it is not just a religious ritual, but also a symbol of a disciplined and pious lifestyle.
How to Prepare for Chhath Puja
According to the Hindu calendar, the Chhath festival begins on the first day with Nahai-Khaai, in which devotees bathe and consume pure food. On the second day, the Kharna ritual is performed, on the third day, the main worship of the Sun God is performed, and on the fourth day, the festival concludes with the Usha Arghya. Preparations for this four-day fast should begin well in advance. This includes cleaning the house, decorating the place of worship, and arranging fruits, flowers, and other worship materials for offerings. Everything should be pure and sattvic so that the puja can be performed with complete rituals.
