Bollywood choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan has always been known for her wit, honesty, and unfiltered storytelling, both on and off camera. Her recent appearance on Prime Video’s talk show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle was no different. Joined by Ananya Panday, the latest episode offered a mix of humour, nostalgia, and some revelations about Farah’s journey in the entertainment industry.
Farah Khan recalls kicking a director, here's why
While chatting with hosts Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Farah recalled an unexpected and rather shocking incident from her early career. Sharing the story, she said that a film director once entered her hotel room under the pretext of “discussing a song” while she was lying in bed. Realising his intentions weren’t professional, Farah said she physically kicked him out. “You know how hot I was, Twinkle. He came into my room to discuss the song or something while I was in bed and sat next to me. I had to kick him from there,” she revealed.
Twinkle, who was on the sets during that time, immediately confirmed the incident. Between bursts of laughter, she said, "He was after her no matter what. She actually kicked him! I was a witness to it." Their light-hearted but honest retelling of the experience drew both laughter and shock from Kajol and Ananya Panday.
The conversation soon shifted to Farah’s short-lived stint as an actor, something she admitted she didn’t enjoy. Recalling how she got into acting by chance, Farah said, “I don’t even know why I did it. I think I was just free, and then Boman called me, and Sanjay Bhansali came to my house and said he’d be on set every day. But I realised it’s not for me, I hated the waiting. I decided I’d never do it again."
More about Farah Khan's professional front
Farah, known for her quick wit, also joked that long shooting schedules made her understand why some actors get involved in on-set flings. Looking back at her career as a filmmaker, Farah fondly spoke about Tees Maar Khan, calling it a “Gen-Z cult film.” She reminded everyone that the 2010 movie had made Rs 65 crore at the box office. When Twinkle hinted at talks of a sequel, Ananya Panday eagerly volunteered to be a part of it. Farah replied with a laugh, "Sure, you can be Katrina’s younger sister."
Before wrapping up, Farah opened up about exploring new creative spaces, including her YouTube channel. Farah Khan's recent work includes choreographing a song for Aryan Khan's debut series The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, judging reality shows, and appearing on the TV series.
